The initial indication of enamel weakness in a tooth is demineralization, which can stem from inadequate home care or a diet high in acidity. Even sugar-free carbonated drinks can pose a significant challenge to dental health. Demineralized teeth are susceptible to sensitivity and decay; however, with suitable treatment, they can undergo remineralization, restoring solidity comparable to that of healthy teeth. The presence of demineralization often manifests as a white line or area near the gum line, where plaque tends to accumulate. A widely employed method for remineralization involves the application of fluoride gel or varnish.
